LET KIDS BE KIDS

A click to Sandy Swarcz’s blog Junkfood Science takes us to a very powerful article about a woman who has had it with schools indoctrinating our children with the ‘’ordre du jour’’ and what is deemed healthy and not healthy.

She goes on explaining how anti-obesity campaigns aimed at children are actually doing a lot of harm to vulnerable minds who cannot decipher the message.

We have denounced repeatedly in both French and English this anti-obesity hysteria and the harm it causes our children in an era where eating disorders start in children as young as 8 years old. We are of the strong opinion that pharmaceutical corporate interests are very instrumental in this anti-obesity campaign and we urge citizens to hold government accountable for the free-passes they give corporate interests who meddle in our personal lives and family dynamics.

The lady in question sends out a cry to all citizens: parents need to stand up and say “Enough!” We couldn’t agree more.

The analysis is complete with comments from experts who are also denouncing public health’s exaggerated anti-obesity message. Please take the time to read it.
